Mental Health Support Dogs - Since 2008
Therapy Dogs

Heeling Allies specializes in training Mental Health Service Dogs, Emotional Support Dogs & Skilled Companion Dogs.  The term Therapy Dog, is often confused with other types of dogs that assist; or provide comfort and companionship to individuals with mental health conditions such as, depression or anxiety.

A Therapy Dog is a dog trained to provide affection and comfort to people in hospitals, retirement homes, nursing homes, schools, people with learning difficulties, and in stressful situations, such as disaster areas.

Heeling Allies specializes in training dogs for individuals with mental health challenges.  We do not train therapy dogs. Please visit the Delta Society website for information about therapy animals.

Thank you for your interest in our program!  Heeling Allies is not currently accepting new client applications.  The most reputable resources for persons interested in teaming up with a service dog are Assistance Dogs International (ADI) and the International Association of Assistance Dog Partners (IAADP).  Please visit the websites of ADI and IAADP for more information. Visit heelingalliesproject.org to see what the Heeling Allies team is up to now.
